League Review | After cooling their heels on the opening two weekends of the season, Leitchville Gunbower took to the court for the A-grade netball match against Huntly in the Bendigo Bank Heathcote District Football Netball League’s second round.
The Hawks and Bombers met on Huntly’s court at Strauch Reserve on Easter Saturday.
The LG line-up showed it will be no pushover this season as it scored a 47-33 win a Huntly line-up which had won at Heathcote the previous round.
Victorious coach Lauren Dehne marked a superb comeback to the game by playing a key role in the mid-court for the Bombers.
Kelly Rayson led the attack on 36 goals as Macey Brereton and Ashley Cullen also starred.
Best for the Emily Eliades-coached Hawks were goalkeeper Laura Gillespie and Taylor Mann.
