Match Reviews | South Bendigo surged clear of Strathfieldsaye in the last quarter to win Saturday’s A-grade netball match in the 15th round of the Bendigo Bank Bendigo FNL season.
The Bloods and Storm played on Strathfieldsaye’s court at Triple M Park in Tannery Lane.
A top-five berth was up for grabs as both teams were on six wins, seven defeats and a draw.
Previous meeting between the teams in round six ended 53-all at South Bendigo’s home in Kennington’s Harry Trott Oval.
It was another high-scoring shoot-out on Saturday.
The Steph Freemantle-coached Storm started well to lead 14-12 at quarter-time.
South Bendigo hit back to win the second term, 18-11.
It was a goal-for-goal for a lot of the third stanza in which Strathfieldsaye added 16 goals and the Bloods scored 13.
