Closest match of the day was at Ultima where the Kangaroos fought on for a 34-28 win against Moulamein.

Macorna was too strong at home for Wandella.

The Tigers charged to a 51-27 result against the Bombers.

Standings in the Golden Rivers FNL A-grade netball competition:

Macorna 188 per cent, 4 points; Murrabit 156, 4; Ultima 121, 4; Moulamein 82, 0; Hay 63, 0; Wandella 52, 4.

In next Saturday’s second round, Moulamein is at home to play Hay.

Murrabit faces Macorna on the Blues’ court.
