Bendigo FNLMatch Reviews | SANDHURST dominated it’s A-grade netball clash with South Bendigo in Saturday’s start to the split fifth round in the Bendigo Bank Bendigo FNL season.

Stung by a 10-goal loss to Kangaroo Flat in the previous round at Queen Elizabeth Oval, Sandhurst played its best match of the season on Graeme Wright Memorial Cup day.

As South Bendigo FNC honoured a great defender and clubman it was Sandhurst which controlled many of the minutes in the A-grade netball match at Kennington’s Harry Trott Oval.

The Tamara Gilchrist-coached Sandhurst poured in 75 goals and worked incredibly hard when not in possession to hold the Bloods to a tally of 32 goals.

It was a disappointing day for the Lauren Bowles-coached South Bendigo which now a record of one win, two defeats and a draw.

The Bloods are now in danger of dropping from the top four as fifth and sixth-placed Eaglehawk and Strathfieldsaye meet next Saturday on the Hawks’ court in Canterbury Park.

It was a rest for Gisborne in A-grade because Castlemaine is not fielding a team this season.
