Match Reviews | MITIAMO won a closely-fought duel with Newbridge in Saturday’s sixth round of A-grade netball in the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley FNL season.

The Abbey Battersby and Jess Kaur-coached Mitiamo was on its court at John Forbes Oval to face the Maroons.

A great match ended in a 57-53 win for Mitiamo.

Chasing back-to-back premierships, Mitiamo is the only unbeaten A-grade team.

Although disappointed not to have ended the Superoos’ streak, Newbridge will have gained plenty of confidence against the competition benchmark.

The Maroons are coached by Selina Holland and Kristy Gandy.

Bears-Lagoon Serpentine kept in touch with the top five as it scored a seven-goal win against Maiden Gully Eagles.

The Danielle O’Toole and Lara Clements-coached Bears won 53-46 against an Eagles team coached by Leisa Barry.
