Bendigo FNLMatch Previews | A FIERCE netball rivalry between Gisborne and Sandhurst will be renewed in Saturday’s round 13 showdown in the Bendigo Bank Bendigo FNL season.

The Bulldogs and Dragons will clash on Gisborne’s court in Gardiner Reserve.

It’s likely to be a qualifying final prelude between these clubs who have played many great matches.

Little has separated the teams, but in round six of this season it was the Tamara Gilchrist-coached Sandhurst which beat Gisborne at Queen Elizabeth Oval by 18 goals.

The Tarryn Rymer-coached Gisborne will be determined to reverse the result this Saturday.

Gisborne’s run to back-to-back premierships included a one-goal win against Sandhurst in the 2023 grand final.

An incredible run of four consecutive grand final wins by Sandhurst across 2017-19 and in ’22 included a six-goal victory against Gisborne to complete the 2018 season.

As Sandhurst won last Saturday’s clash with South Bendigo by 23 goals it was a rest for Gisborne because Castlemaine is not fielding an A-grade team.
