Bendigo FNLMatch Reviews | SANDHURST fought on to defeat Gisborne in Saturday’s 13th round of A-grade netball in the Bendigo Bank Bendigo FNL season.

Both clubs have built up a fierce rivalry in recent years.

On Saturday the Gisborne line-up had home-court advantage in the cold and rain at Gardiner Reserve.

Little separated a top contest between third and second in the premiership race.

The Tamara Gilchrist-coached Sandhurst led 44-39 at the final siren.

As the Dragons take a rest next Saturday in week one of the split 14th round the Tarryn Rymer-coached Gisborne will be fired up for its match on Golden Square’s court in Wade Street.

Results went as expected in the other two A-grade matches played in the 13th round.

Stung by a loss to Golden Square earlier in the season, South Bendigo made sure the blue and gold would not repeat.

Just days after it announced Lauren Bowles would be staying on a second season as coach, South Bendigo marked a 55-46 win against Golden Square at Kennington’s Harry Trott Oval.

The Teigan Redwood-coached Golden Square takes on Gisborne next Saturday.
