OUT: Russell Robertson. IN: Brendan Fevola. That's the jaw-dropping late change for Monbulk ahead of tomorrow's ANZAC Day blockbuster clash with Upwey Tecoma in Yarra Valley Mountain District Football League.

Transfer issues have prevented Robertson from playing, so the ex-Demon high flier found his own replacement: former AFL spearhead Fevola.

The Yarrawonga Pigeons this afternoon cleared Fevola who has turned his attention to donning the brown and gold and occupying the goal square at Monbulk Football Ground.

Hawks coach Daniel Ward said Fevola, who played 204 games for Carlton and Brisbane, was the biggest of inclusions.

"I've told him no pressure but we play Upwey, who won by 140 points last week, and we'll need you to kick eight or nine," he said.

"Fev said 'no worries I'll kick a few snags'.

"It's really disappointing Robbo's clearance didn't come through, when I just wanted to help the footy club and a mate, but now it's turned out pretty well."

Upwey Tecoma coach Greg Spence said full back Dylan Sloane, brother of Crow Rory, would get first crack at Fevola.

"Rory will need some support and we might look at someone dropping back in front of Fev. Not any one guy can stop him if he gets enough supply from the midfield," Spence said.

"We're rapt Fev's playing, it's huge for the league and should get another thousand people to the game."

The match starts at 3pm.
