MAFFRA was made to work hard in heavy conditions at home to defeat Warragul by 21 points.

Strong start from Power
AN eight-goal to one first half set-up Wonthaggi's victory at Drouin, 13.11 (89) to 7.7 (49).
Trailing by 44 at half-time, the home side did manage to out-score the Power in the second half, six goals to five.
Earl Shaw controlled the clearances and marked well, while Andrew Murray and Travis Krause, who kicked four goals, ran well with the ball.
Darcy Irwin and Jordan Wyatt, who kicked three goals, were the Hawks' best.
Dominant Maroons
TRARALGON dominated its clash against Leongatha for three quarters, winning 16.13 (109) to 7.16 (58).
The Maroons kicked 11 goals to two in the first half before the Parrots mounted a challenged in the third term, booting five goals to two. Inaccurate kicking for goal prevented the Parrots from getting closer to the Maroons.
The visitors reasserted their ascendency in the final term, kicking three unanswered goals.
Best-on-ground Tim Northe and Michael Geary kicked three goals each for the Maroons, while Cade Maskell kicked four for the Parrots.
Lions come close again
HIGHLIGHTING its improvement since the start of the season, Moe again came close to a maiden victory, this time losing at Bairnsdale by 13 points.
The Lions led by three points at quarter-time before the Redlegs booted four goals to one in the second term to lead by 22 points at half-time.
Following an even third quarter, the Lions out-scored the Redlegs in the final term, but fell short, 11.12 (78) to 9.11 (65).
Kane Ashwood and Stephen Henshaw led the way for Bairnsdale, while Leigh Sheehan and Jacob Wood.
