DARREN Sheen kicked a league record, equaling seven goals in the first quarter on his way to 10 for the match, as Maffra defeated Moe by 91 points.
Sheen's first term efforts matched the Gippsland League record set by Churchill's Steven Sanders against Traralgon-Tyers United in 1984.
Sheen had a chance to hold the record on his own, but his shot drifted across the goal.
Sheen must enjoy playing against Moe. In round one against the Lions he also kicked 10 goals.
His 10 goals last weekend took him to 51 for the season, 13 ahead of the next best, Sale's Mitch Davis.
