STRATFORD remain on top of the East Gippsland football ladder after comfortably accounting for Orbost Snowy Rovers in round 12.

The Swans kicked six goals in each of the first and second quarters and were never headed on the way to a 19.9 (123) to 6.8 (44) victory, despite taking the foot off the pedal after half time.

Josh Kiss made a welcome return to form in front of goal with seven majors.

Tye Morrison and Lachlan Dobson kicked three goals each, while talls Kaine Kerton and Alan Beechey continued their good form.

Midfielders Corey Scholtes, Michael Walker and Jarryd Clohesy ensured Kiss had plenty of supply.

Andrew Stanton and Stephen Alderton did their best to stem the tide for the Blues.

LUCKNOW moved into second with its 40 point win over fellow finals aspirant Lindenow, 16.16 (112) to 11.6 (72).

The Magpies set up an early buffer, booting five goals to the Cats one in the opening term, before adding six goals in the final quarter to run away with it.

Brenton Martin led the way for the Magpies with four goals, while Gary Jones and Andrew Geischen were among the goals, along with Will Sianna and Brent Isles.

Luke Schumann kicked four goals for Lindenow while Matt Whelan, back from injury, was the Cats best.

WY YUNG entered the top four for the first time this season with victory over Lakes Entrance.

The Tigers booted 10 goals to five after a low scoring, tight opening half to win 14.7 (91) to 9.8 (62).

Matt Counahan and Tom Smith kicked nine goals between them, while Michael Young was the Tigers’ best.

Gerard Kennedy kicked four goals for Lakes Entrance, while Luke Reggardo was the Seagulls’ best.
