League News | After scintilating starts to 2021 both Wonthaggi Power and Moe sit undefeated at the top of the Gippsland League ladder. Both Wonthaggi and Moe are sitting on 6-0 win-loss records and have clearly been the two stand out sides so far in 2021.
Two sides starting 6-0 has happened just twice before in the league’s history. Should Wonthaggi and Moe both win next Saturday they will both be on 7-0 and equal the record of Leongatha and Traralgon from 1998 when they both sat on 7-0 records. Traralgon beat the Parrots then went on to beat them again in the Grand Final. This is the only occurrence of two teams having 7-0 records at the same time.
