Fox Footy | Hawthorn legend Jarryd Roughead bagged two goals for Gormandale as the latest ex-champion to play for a local footy club in the Carlton Draft Series.
But it wasn’t enough as Roughead’s Tigers fell to old rivals Glengarry by 35 points, 16.15 (111) to 12.4 (76), in the annual Onley-Lang Trophy clash in the Gippsland Football Netball Competition clash as a crowd of 2,000 watched on.
The 35-year old lined up at full forward alongside Gormandale cult figure Jarryd Garlick and provided a strong marking target all day, setting up a goal in the opening term to reduce his team’s deficit to six points at quarter time.
