A NINE-goal to one third term helped Stratford defeat Lakes Entrance at home.
The Swans remain in second position on the East Gippsland football ladder after their 16.10 (106) to 6.7 (43) victory.
The Swans struggled to shake off the Seagulls early, leading by two points at quarter-time and three at half-time.
The home side booted away in the third term, heading into the final term 51 points in front.

Kieran O'Dwyer and Tye Morrison caused headaches for the Seagulls defence, finishing with four goals each.
Morrison, Gavin Bickery and Nick Channing were the Swans' better players.

Little trouble for Gulls
LADDER leader Paynesville had little trouble against bottom side Orbost-Snowy Rovers.
The Gulls won 30.28 (208) to 8.2 (50).
Leading by 46 points at half-time, the home side booted 20 goals to three in the second half.
Derek Hayes kicked five goals, best-on-ground Adrian Gibbs and Mark Sellings four each.
Cats into top four
LINDENOW replaced Wy Yung in the top four after a 20-point win over the Tigers.
Luke Schumann kicked seven goals in the 15.11 (101) to 11.15 (81) win.
Will Blackley and Justin Blair led the way for the Cats.
Andrew Thomson was the Tigers' best, while Matt Counahan kicked six goals.
There was little between the sides in the first half, but the Cats had the better of the second, booting 11 goals to seven.
