SALE continued its impressive lead up to the Gippsland League football finals with a crushing win over Morwell at home on Saturday night.

The Magpies took their game to another level in the second term, kicking 7.5 to 0.1 to blow the game apart.

The home side went on to win 21.25 (151) to 4.5 (29).

The Tigers had good players missing, including coach Harmit Singh, ruckman Tom Crosby and Tarkyn Lockyer, but the Magpies went into the match without coach Matt Ferguson, Kane Martin, Jacob Schuback, Justin McLay and Kane Fraser, whose season appears over after injuring his knee against Drouin.

Sale had winners all over the ground, with everyone involved.

Shannen Lange got the nod as the Magpies' best. This very talented young player kicked five goals and kept bobbing up in passages of play all over the ground.

Lochie Todd is enjoying his best season at senior level, playing well in several positions. One game he is blanketing opposing forwards, while on Saturday he was up forward, kicking four goals.

Defender Shane Fyfe had the ball on a strong with his ball use outstanding. Fyfe reads the play well to pick-up kicks when well in the clear.

Jordan Dessent also played well in a defence which kept the Tigers to four goals for the match.

As usual, Josh Dunkley was in the thick of the action. His ball use was first class.

Luke Collins led the midfield well with support from wingers Tom Wilson and Brendan Rathnow.

The Tigers had good players in defenders Michael J Duncan and Jack Brown, in the midfield, Joel Soutar, Michael Ross and Tom Hutton all picked-up kicks, and Dean MacDonald was good up forward.
