SALE teams had mixed fortunes in Gippsland League football semi-finals over the weekend.
The Magpies' seniors and under 18s and 16s remain in the finals, but the reserves are out.
While Maffra's senior team is still in the premiership race, its run in the under 16s also came to an end with a loss on Sunday.
The Sale reserves dropped out of the finals after losing its first semi-final to Morwell by 14 points on Sunday at Traralgon.
The Tigers led at every change and went on to win 7.3 (45) to 4.7 (31).
Sale's best player was Bohdi Walker, who kicked three goals. Other to do well were Michael Walsh, Tom Wilson, Luke Bates, Adam Wallace and Brett Hudson.
In the preliminary final this Sunday, Morwell will meet minor premier Wonthaggi. The Power's final term comeback in the second semi-final fell short against Warragul, who won 7.6 (48) to 7.3 (45) to advance to the grand final.
The Sale under 18 team moved into the preliminary final with a six-goal win over Wonthaggi in the first semi-final.
The Magpies led at every change to win 12.9 (80) to 7.2 (44).
Jayden Allison and Mackenzie Bristow kicked three goals each for Sale, with Zac Petrovic, Charlie Rossetti, Jamie McIntosh, Evan Johnson and Josh Woods also contributing to the win.
The Magpies will meet Bairnsdale in the preliminary final. The Redlegs lost to Traralgon in the second semi-final 5.10 (40) to 4.4 (28).
Under 16 minor premier Traralgon led at every change to defeat Sale in the second semi-final, 12.6 (78) to 6.5 (41).
Sale's best were Brad Dessent, Brendan Brew, Lachie Ronchi, and Tom and Jordan Sabell.
In the preliminary final, Sale will play Moe, who ended Maffra's season with a 8.7 (61) to 4.3 (27) win in the first semi-final. The second and final terms, in which the Eagles were held goal-less, proved the difference.
Liam Harrington, Sam Whelan, Isaac Love, Patrick Mack, Sean Day and Nick Wozniak were the Eagles' best players.
