STRATFORD scored a comprehensive victory over Lucknow to remain undefeated after three rounds of East Gippsland football.
Aside from a competitive second term, where Stratford still managed to edge the Magpies, the Swans were completely dominant to win 25.11 (161) to 4.3 (27).
Highlighting how well the visitors were faring, even the umpire got in the way of a Magpies' attempted centre clearance during the first term.
The Swans got the jump on the Magpies with six goals to one in the first quarter to set up a 45-point buffer at half time.
From there it was all one-way traffic, the Swans booting seven majors in the third term and not letting up in the last, adding another eight goals while keeping the Magpies to just one.
With Swans ruckman Sam Noone giving first use from the stoppages, Stratford won the important midfield battle. The Swans were on, hitting targets with Josh Kiss and Keiran O'Dwyer the beneficiaries up forward, each booting six goals.
Stratford weren't short of scoring power, with Jack Bacon lively across half-forward with five goals, while Brayshaw was also dangerous when drifting forward, adding four goals of his own in a complete performance.
Mobile tall Alan Beechey was also impressive, with his strong marking setting up play.
In a tough day at the office for the Magpies, Gary Jones led from the front while Jarrad Hoffman, Tim Saunders and Ryan Halford battled hard, while Nick Fowler and Chris Aurisch got some reward, kicking one goal each.
Wy Yung steps up
WY Yung moved to top of the table with a comfortable win over Lakes Entrance, 14.9 (93) to 7.10 (52).
A strong opening term set up the win for the Tigers, taking a 29 point lead into the first change. The Seagulls were more competitive after that, managing six goals to the Tigers' eight.
Mark Sellings continued his good form, booting four goals, while Robert Brick and Will Hamilton also hit the scoreboard.
Darcy Murray, Regan Kyle, Lloyd Powell and Dylan Somerville led the charge for the Tigers, while Andrew Phelan, Zach Turner and Nathan Pegler were the better players for the Seagulls.
Adam Walker kicked two goals for Lakes Entrance.
Paynesville charges back
REIGNING premier Paynesville charged back into the top four with a percentage boosting win over Orbost-Snowy Rovers, 17.20 (122) to 3.5 (23).
The Gulls burst out of the blocks, kicking seven goals to two in the first term, and could have enjoyed a greater lead at the half, after wasteful kicking in the second.
A further five goals in the third quarter put the result beyond doubt, with the Gulls taking the foot off the peddle in the final term. Running out 99-point victors, the Gulls could have inflicted more damage if not for wastefull kicking in the second and final terms.
David Ashworth, Damian Ashcroft, Brayden Radford and Ben Haslam won clearances for the Gulls, with Haslam drifting forward to boot four majors. Shaun Ryan, Keith Ritchie, Jason McCloy and Jordan Farquhar shared the load up forward.
Stephen Zappelli and Mark McDonald continued their good form for the Blues, while Steve Alderton repelled numerous attacks.
LINDENOW had the bye.
