The Swans were ruthless from the outset, booting eight goals to one in the first term on the way to the 23.19 (163) to 7.8 (50) win.

Facing a 70-point deficit at half-time, the Blues were competitive in the third term, matching the Swans on the scoreboard but it would not last, with the floodgates opening in the final term. The Swans added eight goals to put the icing on another impressive performance.

Kiss was the stand-out, his 14 majors earning him best-on-ground honours. The Blues did not have a player to match him, with Kiss' strong marking a feature but also equally impressive when the ball hit the deck.

Cats climb

LINDENOW climbed to third on the ladder with a comfortable victory over Lucknow, 17.20 (122) to 9.11 (65).

The Cats set-up the win with a strong first half, booting nine goals to three to open up a 39-point buffer at the main change.

Both sides kicked two goals in a torrid third term, before the Cats finished off with six goals to four in the final term.

The Cats had plenty of contributors with nine goal scorers, Nathan Storer and Darren Allen leading the way with three majors.

Luke Schumann made a welcome return from injury, booting two goals, while David Donchi, Will Blackley and Justin Blair won clearances for the Cats.

Brenton Martin led the way for the Magpies, booting six goals.

WY YUNG had the bye, while Lakes Entrance and Paynesville also enjoyed a break after completing their round four match on Good Friday.
