egflGippsland Times |THE East Gippsland Football-Netball League has confirmed its 2015 fixture.

As previously announced, Boisdale-Briagolong will make its EGFNL debut against Stratford on Saturday, April 11. Stratford will unfurl the six 2014 premiership flags - senior and reserve football plus four netball - before the respective matches on the day.

The Bombers have transferred to the EGFNL after the past 11 seasons in the North Gippsland league. They will play their first home game in the league on April 18 against Paynesville.

Keen to stoke a rivalry between the Swans and Bombers, the match has been billed the "Battle of the Avon".

The clubs will meet on three occasions this season, twice at Stratford (April 11 and August 1) and once at Boisdale (June 13).

The addition of the Bombers to the league has eliminated the need for a bye and each team playing 18 games - nine at home and nine away.
