Logo KangarooFlatBendigo Advertiser |MIDFIELDER Mitch Hough is back at Kangaroo Flat for the second half of the Bendigo Football League season.

Hough - whose clearance was still pending Thursday afternoon - was runner-up in the Roos' best and fairest in 2013.

He left the Roos at the end of 2013 and has since been on the Bendigo Gold's VFL list and played with both Tooleybuc Manangatang in the Central Murray league and Myrtleford in the Ovens and Murray league.

Hough has this week returned to the Roos in what coach Jason Stevens believes will be a springboard for the club to push for finals action later in the year.

"This is fantastic news for our footy club. Mitch is an elite BFL midfielder and is exactly what our team needs to push for a finals position," Stevens said on Thursday.

"Mitch will play through the midfield as he did when he last played for Kangaroo Flat and had a real impact in that position.

"I'm sure he will also help our players who have received heavy tags in recent weeks and his leadership and direction will be invaluable for his younger team-mates."

The Roos sit sixth on the ladder at 4-5 ahead of a home game against the winless Maryborough on Saturday.

Braydan Knox, Joel Osbrough, Carl Rohde and Trent McInnes will all be available to come back into the Roos' side for the clash with the Magpies.
