The Courier | MELTON coach Brad Murphy has dismissed rumours key recruit James Mulligan is on his way out.
The former Western Bulldogs had been touted as one of the Bloods' key arrivals this year but as yet, has failed to fire.
Hampered by hamstring injuries, he has kicked just three goals from his four games thus far this season, although at least two of those matches have been cut short.
Murphy said Mulligan remained a focal point for the Bloods' push towards finals, although his training workload would need to increase before he broke back into the senior side.
Presuming East Point beats Melton South on Saturday, Melton will fall six points behind the top six unless it pulls off an unlikely win against Redan.
