st arnaudWimmera-Mail Times | ST ARNAUD has a chance to put some space between itself and the rest of the North Central Football League competition when it meets Wycheproof-Narraport in round eight on Saturday.

Fresh off a win against fellow pace-setter Donald last week, the Saints are a game clear of Charlton and the Royal Blues, after the Navy Blues' 130-point win over Boort moved it to second and relegated Donald to third.

The Saints play a Wycheproof-Narraport side that sits fifth on the ladder with a 3-3 record after beating reigning premier Wedderburn last week.

Second-placed Charlton takes on Wedderburn on Saturday in a match that carries significant clout with regards to the make-up of the ladder.

The Redbacks will no doubt be itching to reverse its current form slump against the side it beat in the 2014 grand final.

In Saturday's third fixture, Birchip-Watchem has a chance to jump Donald on the ladder, and potentially move into second place if other results go its way.

The Bulls take on Boort, with the Magpies languishing at the foot of the table, yet to notch a win in 2015.
