donaldWimmera-Mail Times | DONALD will look to bounce back from a loss to Wycheproof-Narraport when it meets Charlton on Saturday in a match holding great bearing on both sides' finals aspirations.

Both teams enter the match having lost their past two encounters.

While a defeat would not spell disaster, it would leave the loser slightly out of touch with the competition front-runners.

Donald is fourth on the ladder and Charlton fifth. Both will be keen to return to the winners' list.

Royal Blues coach Luke Fisher said his side needed to regroup after an inconsistent showing last week.

''We need to address a few issues regarding consistency and playing four quarters,'' he said.

''We need to be desperate to win the loose footy and any contest that's there to be won, we just have to commit ourselves and put our head over it.''

Fisher believes Donald is capable of matching it with Charlton, as it did in round three when it beat the Navy Blues by 11 points at home.

''They got the jump on us last time and they like to switch the footy and run and use their skills,'' he said.

''We'll be looking to eliminate the attack they generate from their spread.

''We back our defenders to win our one-one-one contests.''

Ladder-leader St Arnaud plays Birchip-Watchem away on Saturday and will hope to replicate its round three domination of the Bulls.

Boort plays Wedderburn in what shapes as another lopsided encounter for the struggling Magpies, while Wycheproof-Narraport has a bye.
