Wimmera-Mail Times | SATURDAY'S top-of-the-table clash between St Arnaud and Donald will pit the most potent attack and most stingy defence against each other.
The Saints and Royal Blues sit equal atop the North Central Football League ladder, with only percentage giving St Arnaud the edge.
The Saint have scored the most of any side in the competition, while Donald has conceded the least amount of scores.
The question that remains to be answered is what style of play will prove the most effective.
Donald coach Luke Fisher said he would not read too much into previous scorelines and hoped the Royal Blues could stick to their strengths.
''The team that shows up wins the game,'' he said.
''There's a bit of added hype from finishing on top if you win the game, but we'll go into it like any other and control what we can.''
Fisher said his side's defence was the key against the offensive Saints outfit.
''I think our game is good enough. Our backs have been really good at restricting scores,'' he said.
''Even though we haven't had big scores in games, we still haven't been smashed on the scoreboard.''
Saints coach James McNamee said his side would continue to try and put scoreboard pressure on Donald.
''The main thing will be to aim to kick 15 to 20 goals and play an attacking brand,'' he said.
''It's a bit of an unknown, because they've improved so much.
''We'll focus on what we can do and hopefully it's good enough.''
