north bendigoBendigo Advertiser | NORTH Bendigo faces an anxious wait for results of scans on the injured shoulder of star midfielder Darcy Richards.

Richards re-injured the same shoulder he had surgery on in the off-season in Saturday’s 33-point win over Elmore.

“We’re not sure how bad it is yet,’’ North Bendigo co-coach Rob Bennett said. “We’ll find out more in the next couple of days. We’re confident he’ll get back this season.”

Elmore dished it right up to the Bulldogs on Saturday. The Bloods led narrowly at quarter-time and never allowed the premiership fancy to blow them out of the water.

“We kicked four goals to none in red time in the second quarter and that broke the game open a bit for us,’’ Bennett said. “Elmore were good all day. They could cause a few upsets by the end of the season.”

Jordan Ford, Aaryn Craig and Tyson Findlay were best for the Bulldogs, while Luke Ryan and Spike Ingley were gallant for the Bloods.
