Bendigo Advertiser | KANGAROO Flat Football Club has put its faith in senior coach Jason Stevens after re-appointing him for the 2016 season.
The Roos won nine games and finished sixth in Stevens’ first season in charge last year and have won five games so far this season and are in a battle for fifth spot on the Bendigo Football Netball League ladder.
The Roos have had a bad run with injuries in 2015 and Stevens is already looking to bolster his squad for next year.
‘’Our midfield is deeper than it was two years ago, but it needs to continue to grow,’’ Stevens said.
“We also need to sure up our defence and also target a key forward.
“We will aim to retain a majority of our list and I will continue to focus on returning past players to our club.
“In the meantime is it important that our club continues to fight for a finals berth this season so we have a good springboard to pursue a big year in 2016.’’
The Roos play third-placed Sandhurst at the QEO this weekend.
