Wimmera-Mail Times | DONALD was unlucky to drop out of the top two after the final round of the North Central Football League home-and-away season but coach Luke Fisher believes the Royal Blues can still do damage in finals.
Donald plays Birchip-Watchem on Saturday in a cut-throat semi-final at St Arnaud.
Fisher said he backed his side in to progress to the following week of finals.
“We know we’re good enough. It’s just whether we can bring that finals-type footy to Saturday,” he said.
“Last week’s game was a really good preparation.”
The Royal Blues lost narrowly to St Arnaud at the weekend after they made a slow start to the match.
Fisher said it was an area Donald had to address.
“It’s been a bit of a theme for us this year with our slow starts,” he said.
“The Bulls’ aggression and physicality is what they pride themselves on so if we can come out and match them, you never know what happens.”
