The Courier | Local football and netball clubs are preparing for a return to training, but have been told by AFL Victoria to wait until further notice before organising any sessions.
Premier Daniel Andrews confirmed a range of COVID-19 restrictions will be eased as of 11.59pm on Tuesday, including some limitations around gatherings.
The ability to leave the house for exercise has been expanded to include outdoor recreational activities. These activities can occur in groups of up to 10 people outside, but the requirements on physical distancing remain.
But AFL Victoria has poured some cold water on clubs' enthusiasm.
