League Preview | Pyramid Hill faces an uphill task on the turf of the unbeaten Marong at Malone Park in Saturday’s fourth round of the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley Football Netball League’s senior footy season.
It’s first against second in the league’s match of the day. The Marong Panthers showed they could be the team to beat for the premiership cup in a 15-point win on Mitiamo’s ground at John Forbes Oval.
Brandyn Grenfell lifted his season tally to 17 after three majors against the Superoos. Other multiple goalkickers for Marong were David Johnstone and Ryley Taylor on two each.
There is plenty of skill in the Linton Jacobs-coached Panthers line-up.
Not only does Marong have the marking power of Grenfell, Adrian Pappin, Justin Hynes and Richard Tibbett, but also the run of Ben and Corey Gregg, Nathan Devanny and Jack McCaig.
