League Review | Calivi United turned up the heat to score an upset victory on Bridgewater’s turf in Saturday’s fifth round of the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley Football Netball League’s senior footy action.
The Jack Daley-coached Demons worked hard to be within margins of five, four and two points at the quarter breaks at Bridgewater Recreation Reserve.
In the last it was Calivil United which outplayed and outran the Mean Machine to score 3.2 to just two points to claim a memorable 59-43 victory.
The in-form Jacob Greenwood led Calivil United’s attack on three goals as Jack Burns and Michael Maxey added two each.
Multiple goalkickers for Bridgewater were Andy Collins and Josh Martyn on two.
