League Review | Another round of mixed results across the Sir Doug Nichols Round
Dunolly V Carisbrook
Dunolly gave it their all on Saturday but unfortunately couldn’t overcome Carisbrook which ran out as 90-point victor.
Brook opened with a 4.4 (28) to 1.2 (8) quarter at Dunolly’s domain and blew this lead out to 51 points by half time with eight goals to three straight in the second.
Carisbrook and Dunolly had the exact same amount of scoring shots on goal in the third term however the Redbacks made much better use of their chances, kicking 6.2 (38) to 4.4 (28) from the Eagles to lead by 61 points at the final change.
Brook finished the game with a big 7.6 (48) to 3.1 (19) term with the final score reading 20.13 (163) to 11.7 (73).
Anthony Zelencich impressed with five goals in the win, but he wasn’t the only one with a bag of five with coach Dean Chester doing the same in a best on ground performance.
