League Review | Mitiamo was under the pump from a spirited Bears Lagoon Serpentine in the second half of their 10th round senior footy clash in the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley Football Netball League on Saturday.
The Superoos raced to a 74-40 lead by half-time on the Bears’ turf at Gadsden Finance Serpentine Reserve.
In the third quarter it was the Justin Laird-coached Bears who clawed their way back into the contest as they scored 5.1 to 1.1 to be within 10 points going into the final term.
The experience of Ross Turner and Lee Dale played a key part as the Marcus McKern-coached Mitiamo fought for an 89-82 victory.
