League Review | The Birchip Watchem Bulls charged to a big win against Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers in Saturday’s 15th round of senior footy in the Goldacres North Central Football League.
Fans were hopeful of a closely-fought contest between first and third at Birchip’s George Cartwright Oval, but the Trevor Ryan-coached Birchip Watchem tamed the Tigers.
The Bulls led 25-8 at quarter-time, but the Joel Donnan-coached Sea Lake Nandaly struck back to win the second term, 21-13.
Defence was a key factor in Birchip Watchem’s victory as it kept the Tigers goalless in the second half.
