Golden Rivers FNLMatch Reviews | Defences were well on top as Hay beat Ultima in Saturday’s fourth round of senior footy in the Golden Rivers FNL season.

Unbeaten run was at stake as the Kangaroos played the Hay Lions at Ultima Recreation Reserve.

A sign of Hay’s dominance in this contest was its tally of scoring shots.

The Lions scored 5.10 (40) in a hard-fought victory against the Roos who were on 3.5 (23) at the final siren.

Hay’s attack was led by Declan Watson on two goals.

Best for the Lions were Joel Crocker, Jacob Watson, Jack Cattanach, Cooper Scott, Brad Pocock and Hugh Crighton.

Ultima’s best were Matt Taverna, Jayden Kiel, Kyle Symons, Thomas Bull, Sam Coffey and Martyn Cooper.

Wandella Bombers cruised to a 49-point victory on Murrabit’s turf.

The Bombers led 32-16 at quarter-time and 48-24 by the main break.

Inspired by the play of Tim Robinson, John Cooper and Jack Radcliffe, Wandella kicked on for a 94-45 victory.
