Match Reviews | The Macorna Tigers dug their claws in to record a three-point victory at Wandella in Saturday’s 11th round of senior footy action in the Golden Rivers season.

Down by margins of 11, nine and nine points at each of the quarter breaks, Macorna made a brilliant fightback in the final term.

The Tigers scored 3.2 and kept the Bombers to a tally of 1.2 in the last as they won 78-75.

Both teams are now on 20 premiership points and third and fourth on the ladder at five round to go in the home-and-away series.

Macorna’s attack was led by Johnny Dawes and Josh MacPherson on three goals as Sam Whinfield added two.

Michael Rowe kicked a match-high goals for Wandella as Jayden Crellin and Logan Keighran added two each.

Best for Macorna were Josh MacPherson, Harley Somerville, Johnny Dawes, Malcolm Neiwand, Matthew Angel and Xavier Wishart.
