Central Murray FNLMatch Reviews | Mallee Eagles soared to a 13-point victory against Nyah Nyah West United in Saturday’s 15th round in the Radio 3SH-backed Central Murray senior footy season.

The 85-72 result for Mallee at Lalbert pushed the NNWU Demons from top spot on the ladder.

Nyah Nyah West United led 21-16 at quarter-time, but the Brent Macleod-coached Eagles struck back to win the second term, 33-17.

A tally of 3.3 as it kept NNWU to a score of 1.2 in the third gave Mallee a four-goal buffer going into the final quarter.

The Jason Murphy and Nick O’Neill-coached Demons finished strongly to win the term, 26-15, but it was the Eagles which took the points in an 85-72 result.

Darcy Hourigan led Mallee’s attack on four goals as Shaun Harrison and Jai Middleton added two each.

Zac O’Shannassy was the Demons’ only multiple goalkicker on two.

Best for Mallee Eagles were Paul Davis, Jayden Post, Joe Halloran, Liam Drummond, Brent Macleod and Clinton Cummins.

Oliver Boulton, Dominic Gallo, Max Thompson, Blake Larkings, Mitch Grinham and Darcy Butler led the way for the Demons.
