Match Previews | Ultima or Wandella will win their way into the Golden Rivers senior footy grand final when they meet in Saturday’s preliminary final.

Runner-up last season, Ultima will be fighting to earn its place in a grand final rematch with Hay on September 7 in the den of the Hay Lions.

To do so the Kangaroos must beat the Bombers.

Ultima will have home-ground advantage when the match starts at 2.40pm at Ultima Recreation Reserve.

The Kangaroos are unbeaten in all three meetings with Wandella this season.

First-up was in round two where Ultima won 138-76 in the Bombers’ hangar at Wandella.

Next two hit-outs have been at Ultima where the Roos won by 80 points in round seven, and by 37 in the 12th round.

The Kangaroos will be determined to bounce back after a 101-52 loss to Hay in the second semi-final played at Wandella.

Best for Ultima against the Lions were Ricky Wild, Lincoln Frost, captain Mitchell Seton-Stewart and Kyle Symons.
