Central Murray FNLMatch Reviews | MALLEE Eagles broke the unbeaten streak of the Cohuna Kangas in Saturday’s fifth round of Radio 3SH-backe senior footy in the Central Murray league.

The Eagles were on home turf in Lalbert for the match of the round.

Mallee led 21-7 at quarter-time and 33-23 by the long break.

Cohuna fought back strongly to win the third term, 27-22.

Just five points separated the teams at the start of the last quarter.

The Harry Allen and Brent Macleod-coached Eagles responded to the challenge brilliantly.

Mallee did plenty of attacking and scored 4.2 as Cohuna added a behind.

At the final siren Mallee led 81-51.

Troy Anderson, Darcy Hourigan and Andrew Mead-Harding all finished on two goals for the Eagles.

Sole multiple goalkicker for Cohuna was Hudson Fountain on two.
