Match Reviews | CALDER United Lions sent a warning to all rivals as it won Saturday’s clash with Boort in round five of the Goldacres North Central senior footy league by 25 goals.
On a day where the league marked Pink Round in support of Breast Cancer Network Australia it was the Lions who outran and outplayed Boort in a big way.
The Lions led 16-13 at quarter-time of the clash with the previously unbeaten Boort at Wycheproof.
Calder United then slammed on eight goals as it kept the Magpies to tally of three behinds in the second.
A 51-point lead at the long break became 83 at a quarter to play.
Lions’ co-coach Jordan Humphreys dominated in attack to finish on eight goals as Jack Exell and Zane Keighran kicked three majors and Steven Kennedy added two.
Boort’s leading goalkicker was Peter Barbopoulos on two.
Best for the Lions were Zane Keighran, Jordan Humphreys, Oscar Madden, Steven Kennedy, Jack Exell and Dean Putt.
