Golden Rivers FNLMatch Reviews | MURRABIT’S greater accuracy was a telling factor as it beat Moulamein in Saturday’s fourth round of Golden Rivers senior football action.

The Blues and Swans both had 23 scoring shots at the Moulamein ground.

As Murrabit scored 13.10 the Swans finished on 10.13.

The 15-point victory was Murrabit’s second of the season and put the Blues on the ladder’s third rung.

The Jack Shannahan-coached Murrabit led 26-8 at quarter-time before Moulamein struck back to win the second, 22-16.

Murrabit led by three goals going into a final term in which both teams kicked three goals.

James Stewart and Adam Thompson led the Blues’ attack on three goals.

For Moulamein it was William Haberecht who finished with a match-high four goals as William Doquile and Blake Launer added two each.

Best for Murrabit were Sam Copland, Austin McKerrow, Ben Derbas, Logan McKinnon, Bryden Morison and Ben Gilligham.
