Loddon Valley FNLMatch Reviews | THE favourites all scored emphatic wins in Saturday’s seventh round of senior footy across the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley FNL competition.

Closest margin of the afternoon was at Jackal Oval in Marong’s Malone Park where Marong defeated Maiden Gully YCW Eagles by 52 points.

The Panthers led 39-8 at quarter-time and 61-17 by the long break.

Marong then won the third term, 21-7, before the Eagles made a spirited fightback to score 5.1 as the Panthers added 3.7 in the last.

At the final siren Marong led 107-55.

Panthers’ co-coach Kain Robins kicked a match-high six goals as Michael Bradbury, captain Nathan Devanny and Ryley Taylor added two each.

The Eagles’ attack was led by co-coach Angus Monfries on three.

Best for Marong were Jimmy Gadsden, Kain Robins, Jai Gretgrix, Todd Davies, Nathan Devanny and Nathan Walsh.

The Panthers have Paul Thomson as non-playing co-coach.

Best for the Eagles were Grayson Brown, Bryce Franzini, Mitch Hill, Daniel Russell, Ed Crisp and Mitchell Lines.

Maiden Gully YCW has Shawn Filo as non-playing co-coach.

Inglewood marked an 89-point win on Calivil United’s turf in Calivil.
