The Tigers’ 19.11 (125) to 10.5 (65) victory at Gardiner Reserve was just their third over Gisborne in their 29 clashes.

“It’s an enormous result for our footy club,” Kyneton coach Mark Adamson said.

“There’s a lot of clubs that haven’t beaten Gisborne at Gisborne for years and we were one of them. It’s one of the bigger challenges in Bendigo footy, so when you finally turn it around and win down there, it’s a big result.”

The 60-point victory was Kyneton’s first at Gardiner Reserve since 2001.

Gisborne led by eight points at quarter-time, 3.2 to 2.0.
