Bendigo Advertiser | AFL Central Victoria has opened dialogue with its leagues on what potential points system models they would be best suited to.
Paul Hamilton - the AFLCV regional manager - is one of the members of an AFL Victoria working party that has been looking into the issue of increasing player payments at local level across the state.
It has been stated measures, such as a potential points system, will be officially brought in across Victoria next year, with clubs having the chance to trial how they would be impacted this season.
The football season is now under way, but trial models this year in the Bendigo, Heathcote District, Loddon Valley and North Central leagues still appear a way off.
