Bendigo Advertiser | STRATHFIELDSAYE midfielder Matt Johnston is facing at least two months on the sidelines after breaking his leg late in the Storm's Bendigo Football League grand final rematch win over Sandhurst last Friday.
"He's had a plate and some screws put in the small bone in his leg, so he'll be out for at least 10 weeks," Storm coach Darryl Wilson said.
While the game ended on a sour note for Johnston after being injured in a tackle, he was named the Storm's best player in their 13-point victory over the Dragons at the QEO.
"His first half in particular was super and he was our best player on the night," Wilson said.
