The Courier | Creswick coach Damian Lubeek will lend a hand to the BFL interleague team this year.
A CENTRAL Highlands Football League senior coach will align himself with the Ballarat Football League for the 2015 AFL Victoria Country Championships.
Creswick coach Damian Lubeek will again assist BFL head coach Shane Skontra for the crucial clash against Bendigo later this month.
Lubeek has been retained by the BFL, despite taking over the helm at Creswick for a second time this year.
He is part of an all-star panel enlisted by Skontra that also includes four senior BFL coaches and two assistant coaches.
Skontra said he did not feel Lubeek's CHFL duties would interfere with the BFL's campaign in any way.
There will be four BFL training sessions held before the match on May 23, all of which Lubeek will be able to attend, according to Skontra.
"My ultimate aim was to have everyone across that was with us last year to have the continuity," Skontra said.
"Damian will do a good job like he did last year, he has fully committed to us.
"He enjoyed last year and he said he was glad to help again."
Also enlisted to help steer Ballarat back towards the top four of the AFL Victoria Country Championships rankings this year will be dual North City premiership coach Rob Waters, Lake Wendouree coach Gavin Webb and Melton coach Brad Murphy.
Ballarat playing assistant coach Adam Sewell has also jumped on board again, as has Darley's Matt Cape.
The big addition this year, however, is Bacchus Marsh coach Cam Richardson, who is also expected to pull on the boots.
In his second year at the helm of the Cobras, Richardson brings three years of AFL experience at North Melbourne to the role.
"It's great to have all the other guys from last year jump on board, that's what we wanted from the start," Skontra said.
"Adding Cam to the list was just an added bonus."
Interleague training will start next week for the initial 45-man squad.
The BFL will this year meet Bendigo at Eastern Oval, in what will be a rematch of the 2013 fixture that Ballarat won by 23 points.
