ST JOSEPH'S produced one of its best performance of the season to defeat St Albans by 63 points on Saturday.
Coach Heath Jamieson says the victory confirms his side is "on track".
The Joeys played the game on their terms with an even performance across the board.
The 18.17 (125) to 8.14 (62) victory was reward for their hard work, Jamieson said.
"It was a really good performance by us and the boys were really good and have just adapted to the style which we want to play," Jamieson said.
"It was a performance that had been building for a number of weeks now and I think last week against South Barwon we were super and probably the better side for three quarters.
"The win against St Albans was a great reward for the boys and it just shows that we are on track and can run the top sides to the line and beat the sides in a similar position to us."
St Joseph's set up the win in the opening term as they kicked four goals and kept the Super Saints to only four points.
As the Joeys took a 23-point lead into quarter-time, they knew they just had to keep the foot on the pedal and build on the lead.
And build on it they did in the second term with another four-goal quarter, though St Albans got back in the game as it kicked its first three goals of the game.
After the half-time break it was the Super Saints that came out stronger.
They cut the deficit back to 18 points by winning the quarter.
With a quarter left to play, it was game on at the Drew Reserve.
But St Albans failed to take its momentum into the final term.
The Joeys finished off the way they started, sealing victory with a seven-goal-to-one fourth quarter.
The Joeys' past two outings have left Jamieson a happy coach. He likes the way his side is playing and where they're at.
"At the moment we have 22 players buying in and I really like the style we are playing at the moment," Jamieson said.
"I am really happy with where we are at and I think we are a long way in front of where we thought we would be."
