Bellarine FNLk Rock Football | Geelong Amateur has returned to the BFL top five with a crucial 19-point win over Ocean Grove.

After a disappointing performance against Queenscliff in Round 6 and a narrow loss to Barwon Heads last week, Ammos was able to see off a determined Grubbers outfit, 10.15 (75) to 8.8 (56).

Leading by just five points at three-quarter time, Amateur kicked 3.3 to 1.1 in the last term at KFC Oval to claim victory.

“You could look at Ocean Grove’s record and think, ‘that should be an easy four points’,” Holroyd said.

“But, their percentage is better than most other teams (outside the top five). They’re not getting flogged; they’ve just been unlucky.

“That was a tough game; they’re a good team.
