Bellarine FNLk Rock Football | Barwon Heads has used a fast start and a different looking forward line to extend its winning streak to seven matches following a 37-point win over Ocean Grove in the first Battle of the Bridge of 2022.

The Seagulls burst out of the blocks with a five-goal-to-nil opening quarter at Ray Menzies Oval and were able to keep the Grubbers at arm’s length for the remainder of the afternoon to record a 13.9 (87) to 7.8 (50) victory.

“We certainly had a great start; the first quarter was electric,” coach Dan Donati said.

“We had a different setup up forward due to personnel, and I reckon it might have caught them (Ocean Grove) off guard a little bit with match-ups.

“Little Sammy Baker was on someone probably a little bit too big for him.
