Geelong District FNLk Rock | An “incident” following North Geelong’s narrow five-point win over Corio on Saturday has cost Mark Hounslow his job as coach of the Magpies.

Club president Jason Habib confirmed to krockfootball.com.au following speculation in the local football community today (Tuesday) that Hounslow was sacked on Monday night, with players informed at training tonight.

However, Habib wouldn’t elaborate on the nature of the incident, which came only days after a late-season review meeting where Hounslow was set several key performance indicators for the final month of the season.

“There was an incident on Saturday, which I won’t go into,” Habib said.

“But, that was the final straw; we’ve got to put the club first.
