k Rock Football | An ankle injury suffered by Tom Hornsey that is likely to keep the star forward sidelined until the finals has taken some of the shine off Modewarre’s 14-point win over Ocean Grove at Ray Menzies Oval.

The former gun US College Football punter was forced from the field during the Warriors’ 8.10 (58) to 6.8 (44) victory.

“There’s a bit of swelling around the ankle,” coach Chris Hickey said. “He just rolled it. It got caught in the soft ground, and he went over on it.

“He knew straight away when he went down that it was a good one. He’ll have to recover and rest up for a couple of weeks.

“We’re not going to know the extent until Monday … but, I would say minimum two (weeks).”
